Old age takes things but faith allows you to see life in new ways. Kind of cool, actually.

Story behind the song
The phrase, certainly unoriginal, came to me in a moment of self-disgust. The song required way more reflection than its short duration would indicate.
Lyrics
Oh, me! Oh, my! Nearly deaf and partly blind! Oh, me! Oh, my! Memories leak from my mind! Come see! come sigh! This is where thoughts go to die! Like playing chess with only pawns, And all the major pieces gone. Or finding that your foot falls through, Words that once supported you. Oh, me! Oh, my! This is where thoughts go to die! Cam, some have mouths and cannot talk, Some have legs that never walked. So if old age should take from thee, Gifts that first birth gave for free. The sight that comes from 2nd birth, Grows clearer in thy faded earth. Maintain faith and maintain mirth! Praise the Lord for all your worth. Oh, me, Oh, my, That is where self-pity dies! Oh, me, oh, my, Here is where the dead shall rise! So free, I'll fly, To meet my Saviour in the sky!
