A strange poem I wrote that morphed into a song.
I like nonsense poetry: Lewis Carrol, A. A. Milne and others. This was meant to be that, but it did get a bit darker....not quite sure why.
Never and Never and Not At All,
Went for a walk I don't recall,
They trod the border of Neverland,
But left no footprints in the sand.
While most got bigger,
They all got small,
And went wherever,
Was Not At All.
While Free and Sleezy,
Were hot to trot,
Where no tresspassers,
Ought to walk.
And Not At All,
Did he get shot?
You beg the question,
But ask it not.
Never and Never and Not At All,
Went for a walk I don't recall,
They trod the border of Neverland,
But left no footprints in the sand.
You cannot track,
How they got back,
Because they never left.
You can't attack,
This lack of facts,
So subtle and so deft.
For we retract,
But won't take back,
What's lost to moral theft.
Never and Never and Not At All,
Went for a walk I don't recall,
They trod the border of Neverland,
But left no footprints in the sand.
Their Old Aunt Marge,
Was by and large,
As large as Marge could get.
Quoth Auntie Marge,
"Now, by and Large,
I'm anti you should fret.
Their only birth,
For what that's worth.
Was lost with planet earth."
Never and Never and Not At All,
Went for a walk I don't recall,
They trod the border of Neverland,
But left no footprints in the sand.
