An old song about telephones. Of course, I've had to modify it to reflect modern times...
So, back in the day, I bought myself a Casio keyboard to take advantage of all this new-fangled midi stuff I kept hearing about. The Casio had a whole bunch of oddball stuff on it including, for inexplicable reason, an entire bank of telephone. I dragged that old keyboard out of storage and brushed about an inch of dust off it for this new version of the song.
When you're on your own
And you need someone to talk to
Just call me
Just call me
When you need someone
You can call me
On the telephone
We've got Nigerian princes
And call centre scams
And my inbox is always
full up with spam
On this telephone
What use is a telephone?
You used to call me up
Now I can't find you
On my telephone
So when you need someone
You can send a text message
When your all alone
To my telephone
And we can meet somewhere
Out of signal range
For our telephones
